No Kings nationwide rally: Randolph MA
Over five million people attended over 2,000 rallies nationwide on June 14, including in Randolph. Some of them had nicely-printed signs, but I think the hand-made signs say a lot more. My sign, to the right, says "America: Fighting Kings Since 1776". Here's a sample from Stetson Hall in Crawford Square...
Above is our official invitation, and the official sign from the nationwide organizers (for $10 a sign). Below is the "crown" theme; many people made many variations. I don't know how that one on the right was made -- zoom in!
Below left is Kathleen Crogan-Camara making the connection, by moustache, of Trump and Hitler. "TACO" means "Trump Always Chickens Out", referring to Trump's common pattern of haphazardly rescinding orders. The upside-down flag is a symbol of "America in trouble." And honking is the way passing motorists communicated with us: more than 10-to-1 honked in favor (as opposed to yelled their disagreement).
"RESIST" theme; "Black Lives Matter" theme; and yes, it rained all day.
Cynthia Strong, left, recently announced her candidacy for Randolph Town Council. For more: No Kings rally in Milton; and the April 5 Hands Off rally in Boston.
